Each month, we like to share a special story about one of our children with our Child Sponsors. Now, that same child's story will be featured here on our website as well. We hope you are as encouraged by hearing their story as we are!
Later this month we have a very special event taking place. Two of our girls – Elisa, age 13 and Evelyn, age 6 will be taken to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Los Angeles for life-altering surgeries. Both girls were born with a dislocated hip, which left undiagnosed and therefore untreated, caused their hip sockets not to form correctly. As a result, their leg bones slid up and out of joint, leaving them both with one leg significantly shorter than the other. With the help of the Shriners, these girls have the wonderful opportunity to receive an operation and ongoing therapy that will leave their legs “normal,” so they will be able to walk without a limp, and grow up without fear of complications later in life. We thank God for the incredible opportunity that He has given these two beautiful girls, and we ask you to join us in praying that all goes well for both of them.
